Biography of Leslie Harris

Leslie Harris was born in West Suburban Hospital just outside of Chicago, Illinois on June 21, 1996. For the first couple years of Leslie's life, she had lived in Chicago with her mother, father, and her three older brothers. Two year later, Leslie's now 15 year old brother was born in the same exact hospital and then the family sought out for Memphis, Tennessee. Still very young, Leslie has moved backward and forward, from state to state with her mom and four other siblings. Around the time Leslie was 4 years old, she had moved to Helena, Arkansas, a very small area in the south, where she started in a head-start program. In Helena, most of Leslie's family is from that small area, and that's where most of them lived... the family on Leslie's mother's side.

Leslie's life in the south was sweet, she had thought. She was young and didn't have a care in the world. She didn't have to do as much as her three older brother's did like going to grade school or her mom with the constant working and grocery shopping when she didn't have to work. "Where was the fun at in working???".
Suddenly, after the years were passing on, Leslie's young life started to change and rapidly, too!
She soon had to start grade school where she thought she had to do constant work. Everyday was constant work for her. Getting up early in the morning was a constant struggle to her but at least now she knew how her brother's felt and her mom, too. She attended J.F. Wahl elementary school. Shortly after her second year in school there, she had left in late 2004 and went back to Chicago where she started 4th grade, never going to 3rd grade, in early 2005!

After 4th grade, Leslie and her family moved back to Arkansas where she finished 5th and 6th grade, graduating from J.F. Wahl elementary. Then, in the Fall of September 2008,  Leslie and her family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Leslie attended a middle school that was inside of her three older brother's high school. The middle school was called Afro-Centric and was 6-8th grade and the high school was North High Academy, grades 9-12th. As Leslie's brother's got up in the morning for school, she had to get up, too and very early in the morning in the harsh winter and knee-deep snow. But through all that, Leslie actually loved her school. She met very new people and soon after entering school, Leslie made plenty of friends. Leslie's favorite slogan is "Making people smile is my style!". Soon, Leslie's most fun year of her life, she thought, had come to an end, but not a complete end, after she found out that her school inside of North High Academy was going to be closed down. She was upset cause her friends and her would separate from each other and she felt as if though she will never see them again!

Hope wasn't completely lost because when Leslie started a different junior high school it was even better than the one before and on top of that, some of her old friends were there and she met even more friends. That school year wasn't as great as it could've been but it could've been way worst in which it wasn't. Throughout Leslie's 8th grade year, her family moved from house to house. In each house there was always something wrong, but at least Leslie had her own space, she'd always think. Then came freshman year. Leslie was curious about starting high school because of all the stories she had heard about high school and what people did to "fresh-meat". It was nothing like people put it out to be. She started Patrick Henry High and she made 10x the amount of friends of each school year before!!!

Leslie didn't finish her school year, unfortunately she thought. Her family moved back to Arkansas in which Leslie disliked so much, she hated Helena and still do right to this day. She finished the rest of her freshman year. It actually turned out to be a pretty good year though when Leslie's baby sister was born a day before her birthday. In the summer of 2011, Leslie's mom, baby sister and her had came back to Minnesota. Leslie's life had been pretty rocky, facing many problems and now attends North Senior Academy currently in her senior year (last year in high school).

Now, Leslie is currently pregnant and will be giving birth to a baby boy on November 7th, 2013 and she says "I can not wait until he gets here so I can love him and treat him with warmth and kindness like a great mother should care for a child"!

  1. Well, this is obviously not the whole story of my life, but the whole story is just so much to put onto one page, so this biography is pretty much "skimmed-through" a bit more than any usual biography anyone would ever see. Pretty much did put as many details as there could be but yeah.....
